South East Queensland floods

Severe weather and heavy rains have caused flooding in areas of South East Queensland. Disaster relief arrangements have been activated making personal hardship grants available.

Current information on flooding and affected areas

Emergency help call the SES on 132 500 
Contact the State Emergency Services (SES) for emergency assistance and to report storm damage.

Personal hardship grants and support - Department of Communities
Apply for personal hardship grants and access recovery support and assistance. Essential household contents grants are available for some residents.

Transport updates - TransLink 
Public transport information, including delays and timetable changes resulting from severe weather.

Traffic information and road closures - Department of Main Roads 
Current South East Queensland road closures and traffic information. 

School closures - Department of Education and Training
School closures and arrangements as a result of flooding. As at 6.00am 21 May 2009, all state schools are open.
